NORI (leaf)

Nori, the Japanese word for 'seaweed', is a product developed on the basis of different varieties of seaweed. They are rinsed with water, ground, put in moulds in thin layers and left to dry. The sheets thus obtained can be used to wrap boiled rice (maki sushi) or finely chopped as seasoning.

The Nori can be crumbled and used to garnish grains or vegetables, or the entire leaf can be used to make rice rolls.
