Kuzu (starch)
Kuzu is unmatched as a thickening agent for translucent sauces. It adds a shine to soups and sauces and gives a silky, smooth, non-floury texture without influencing the taste. Hence, Kuzu is a very good, natural substitute for industrial thickeners.
Package size: 125g
Kuzu can be used to thicken soups, sauces and desserts. To achieve this effect dilute the kuzu with a cold liquid and incorporate it into your dish towards the end of the cooking time. It can also be sprinkled onto vegetables or tofu before frying to achieve a crispy crunchy crust.
